B'day Special Part II

What was yesterday and seemly just 2 weeks back now all seem so far back after a sleep.
24 years old. It all seem like some dreams happy celebrating with friends.

This posting, as usual with the photos loading, resizing and illustration is so gonna take some time and I am breaking it into 2 or 3 entries.

8 July 08

The last time we actually met as a group was during May, Irene's wedding. I am glad to see them altogether again though Rq is missing but SW brought Wanru along. =)

We had decided to try something different like Indian cuisine but Irene was sick & Vonx was having the runs. You can say I feel so darn touched that my friends still decided to turn up when they are not feeling well.
I am so blessed, I know.

After some discussions, we headed to Dan Ryans.

Photobucket
That's Yin in the picture. Lol.

I had intended to treat Jason to Dan Ryans this year but timing was not right. My dad was hospitalised then and thus we didn't go ahead with the celebration. We just went to Globetrotters @ United Squares.

Photobucket Do not expect wide selection of the menu over here.
It was just a simple one sheet thing and ironically servings ain't really American sizes. By American size, I expect something that is serve for the Hulk.

Photobucket
4 of us while waiting for Shaowei & Wanru.

It has been years and I don't even wanna start counting how long it has been since we know each other. Time just flies and these people matter to me,alot. You can see how much we have change here,in terms of apprearance & thinkings.
But still in the code of BFF, sisterhood is one thing that won't waver with time.
Now it is almost like fliming Sex & the City here. Who do you think you are most like? Can I don't be Miranda, please?

Photobucket
Bread, cake & muffin. That is on the house and that muffin rocks!

I can't say much about the food. The lightings over there is dim and I can't produce a decent pic here. Food's actually not that bad, maybe 3 stars? 3.5 stars for some.

Photobucket
Sidies like cheese sticks, onion rings and potato skins. Potato skins are heaven! The onion rings though are authentic onion rings but I kinda prefer BK's cheapskates one.

Photobucket
Messy salads. It's a lil wet but I guess it makes it easier and less messy for consumption.

Photobucket

This is the combo ribs & chicken. Eating a whole or half a chicken outside ain't my exact preference cos' it's so messy but I would say the grill is actually quite nice.

SW & Wanru ordered the seafood combo or is it just Fish & Chips? It was our usual talkings, reminiscings, jokings over the table. I mean...SW is so blessed right? Have a whole table of girls for himself. Lol. But a BM(Business Management) group without one or two guys would otherwise be boring.

When it comes to desserts, everything that was ordered and served look good.

Photobucket
Carrot cake which made Vonx melted with glee.

Photobucket
A rather plastic looking cheesecake.

Photobucket
I forgot what is this but it's like the lava cake I had at Buono Pizza bar, except more 'professionally' looking.

The desserts took us by surprise. It was AWFULLY sweet and we can only leave our thumbs out for the lava cake. I shrivelled each time I took a small piece of the carrot cake.
We almost leave the cake as it is but forcefully pushed some more down the throat if it wasn't for the price.

I think we were one of the last or perhaps the last that left the restaurant. Took some more photos before goodbye kissed the air.

Yin was telling us that her sis said that that pose was the manner of saying 'hi' and 'bye' for people of their generation. Wtf?
In an attempt to cross over to that generation WTF, we did the same.
It looks ridiculous funny.

More of SW's masterpieces....(Irene left by then cos' she was not feeling well.)

The truth is I took a cab home after that. It was close to 11pm and it would be insane for me to wait for the stupid 105 and travel another 30mins to 45 mins home. I am just NOT a night person, particularly on a weekday.
Needless to say...the next day I was pretty shagged.

Now this is a absolute big hugs for all of you. You guys rockz & just made my day!
I love u all!

11 July 08

B'day eve. My office's tradition is to have the b'day cake in the day and the b'day people in turn treat the office lunch.

Photobucket
Birthday cake.

I always celebrated the birthday with Tracy (my manager) cos' her's is the week after. Office celebration is nothing that I can widen my eyes with surprise. I only did that when I first joined but still it is the thoughts that mattered.

Photobucket
Tracy & I.

We ordered Pasta Mania and that half day at work passes surprisingly fast.

Photobucket
Banana choco pizza. It still tastes so good.

Met with Ming afterwhich for somewhat a celebration too. I didn't take any photos together cos' I don't want to.
Had a good time and so ends my bday eve.

12 July 08

Jason called on the dot when the clock striked 12. Hehe.
I can say after all those meetings with friends and so, I didn't expect anything from Jason. I feel that I have enough, more than enough.
It is the kinda feeling when you reflect back, you feel so bless...y'know?

Photobucket
This guy came late as usual. He went to collect the car but late is late. =x
I remember Vonx said that a guy looks exceptionally good when he is in the driver seat and that, I agree.
Jason's a safe driver and I just feel so relaxed sitting beside him. Much as it is not a need to own a car but you can't deny the comfort of being in one.

He booked tickets for Red Cliff at GV,Marina and it is absolutely in favour for me. I miss....!!!!
Photobucket

I made up my mind. I will only order this (refer to pic below) when I go to eat there. It is so darn good that I recommend this to everyone and still drool as I look at it.

Photobucket
Big drool!!!

Photobucket
If it's any possible, Jason would not have ramen. I dunno why. Maybe he is more of the bento person, especially teriyaki chicken's.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

And when it comes to desserts, Jason would really only have the red bean paste, dumplings and ice green tea.
Jap desserts always look so nice but I dunno whassup with the dumplings? I mean...nice meh?Plain and tasteless...dough very nice to eat meh? I threw all the dumpings in my dessert to his bowl. He said,"It felt like eating another bowl of rice."
LOL!

We walked around before watching Red Cliff. I kept telling Jason that this is one of the most anticipated movie of the year and he laughingly tell me..."and you never anticipated it in the first place." -___-*
You know what...he is right. I merely ride on the wave after seeing the trailer.
Damn.

But I really know abit of the 3 kingdoms mah...via comics la. Fictional one somemore..haha.
The movie is GOOD! It is so damn impressive and you don't feel that you have been sitting in your seat for 2 hours. It ended at a hype and DAMN!!! Sequel comes only next year!
So this bday he treated me to part one and nicely the second part comes in Jan 09, so I have to treat him to part two on his bday.

Photobucket Singapore flyer. Another of SG's proud creation.

Photobucket It sure look magnificent but don't be stupid enough to use their valley parking which cost $7. Just parked at Marina or Esplanade and walk over.

By now you might have guess it. Yes, I flew 165 meters up with Jason. That was another bday present. By another bday present, I would show you the rest in the next post. =D

You know what is the amazing thing about those pictures? All that are taken by my S.E hp, a mere 3.2mpx that did the job better than a camera could have, perhaps.

It is a 30 mins ride and it costs around $10 per min. You can forget about feeling romantic in a capsule cos' you aren't along and you don't feel scare or airy. In a nutshell, you don't feel the thing is moving and that is the thing with Ferriswheel. You don't feel it moving at all.
Sg is a lights up city but I guess it is nice to just have a taste of it once. That's it. Other than that, you are just throwing money to SG's plot like duh tourists.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Thank you, dear. It is a ride of a lifetime but I am still looking forward the rides at HK.
This one, no sweats! Lol.

I guess this pretty much finished up the celebrations though I am still oweing one more with Evelyn next Tuesday.
Next up is the unveiling of the presents!! Maybe after show and dinner or just the next entry.

Big love from me to yous,

Photobucket
